What age groups do you cater to in your sailing classes?We offer classes for various age groups, starting from young children in our Kinder Sailing class to adults. Please refer to our Classes Page for specific age requirements for each class.

Do I need to be a member of the Diamond Lake Yacht Club to enroll in classes?While membership is not a requirement for all classes, certain classes and rates are exclusive to members. Non-members are also welcome to enroll at non-member rates.

What should students bring to their sailing classes?Students should come prepared with a life jacket, suitable swimwear, sun protection (like sunscreen and hats), and a water bottle. All other sailing equipment is provided.

Are there any prerequisites for joining the sailing classes?For beginner classes, no prior sailing experience is required. However, for intermediate and advanced classes, some level of sailing proficiency is expected.

How do you ensure safety during sailing classes?Safety is our top priority. All instructors are trained in first aid and water safety. We also maintain a low student-to-instructor ratio and provide all necessary safety gear.

What happens if a class is canceled due to bad weather?We have make-up days typically scheduled on Fridays. In case of weather cancellations, classes will be rescheduled to these days.

Can I register my child for multiple classes or sessions?Yes, you can enroll your child in multiple classes or sessions, subject to availability. Our registration process allows for multiple bookings in one transaction.

Is there a discount for families enrolling multiple children?Currently, we do not offer a family discount, but this is something we may consider in the future.

Are private lessons available?Yes, we do offer private lessons. Please contact us for more details and to arrange a schedule.

What is the student-to-instructor ratio in your classes?We maintain a low student-to-instructor ratio to ensure personalized attention. Typically, the ratio is around 3-4 students per instructor.
