Advanced Sail (Ages 10-16, by instructor invite only)

Times: Monday, June 23rd - Thursday June 26th from 1-4pm at the DLYC waterfront

Program Cost:

• Members $168

• Non-members $210

 

Sailboat used: Opti and 420

 

The class will be open to our young sailors who have previously attended at least two (2) of the morning or afternoon classes and have a strong desire to advance their sailing skills. This class is intended to teach the rigging and sailing of the Opti, 420 and Sunfish sailboats with an emphasis on racing. The students will be expected to participate in the Diamond Lake Youth regatta and may be called to assist in other sailing classes as intern instructors.

All students will always wear life jackets.  Instructors, either in the student's boat or on a safety boat, accompany the students.  All instructors are experienced sailors.  All have learned to sail in the DLYC Sailing School.

The DLYC is offering a limited number of scholarships for youths who need financial
