Do you have a sailboat, but don’t know how to get started?

Have you sailed a little bit in the past but need a refresher?

Are you looking for a brief introduction to sailing so that you can practice later -on your own?

Are you interested in borrowing one of the club’s boats but need to learn the basics first?

Join us for this three-hour “crash course” where you will learn basic terminology, how to rig a sailboat, basic safety skills, trimming and steering, tacking and more.

Bring your own sailboat or use a club boat.

(These skills are also available to learn through private lessons if class times do not match your availability.)

All students will always wear life jackets.  Instructors, either in the student's boat or on

a safety boat, accompany the students.  All instructors are experienced sailors.  All

have learned to sail in the DLYC Sailing School.
